Overall, M2181 is comparable to M2191, so it also appears as a typical Pleurotus ostreatus, but is known for fruiting more heavily in less numerous clusters shaded grey-blue (temperature below 15°C) to grey-brown. These are big, thick (diam. 8 à 12 cm) and short-stemmed. They are very tasty and they preserve well. The strain gives a very fast second and third flush compared to other commercial strains. It is also a good strain for beginners with less equipped growing rooms. Do not water the mushrooms, they take up water from the air very easily and overwatering turns them into a sponge.
